Sugarplum Fairy

Sometimes I go through creative spurts. I'm sure all you artistic (and maybe non-artistic) people out there know what I'm talking about.
Sometimes I just get in the mood to do something creative...I have to be in the right setting and have the energy for it. It can't be at a time when I'm uncomfortable or in a surrounding I dislike. It's got to be when I'm in the perfect setting. When I get into the artistic mood, I tend to block everything out and become completely absorbed with whatever it is that I'm doing. It's awesome.

All this to say, is that I have to be in the mood to write.
As you can see it's been awhile since I've written on this thing...I just haven't felt like I've had anything to say. I mean, lots of interesting things have happened to me and everything...but I just haven't been in the creative mood. So you'll have to forgive me.

Or maybe it has nothing to do with creative spurts...Maybe it just has to do with the fact that I tend to be rather lazy sometimes. I don't know why. I hate being lazy and putting things off to the last minute...But sadly, that is the fashion in which I conduct my life. So I guess I'll have to deal with it.

Anyways,
Christmas is here! And despite the fact that this week is going to eat me alive with all the school work I have to do- I am determined to enjoy it. :)

<Side Note> The title of my blog really has nothing to do with the subject of it...It's just the song that is playing on my Pandora at the moment while I'm writing this.

PDP

PDP is something my school thinks is important to further our education. "Personal Development Portfolio"
Honestly I haven't met a single student on campus who agrees with this statement.
PDP is pointless and annoying and I just want it to meet an untimely death.

I'm pretty sure people who read this blog (If that's anyone) are going to think I'm depressed or whine to much.
Or both.
Honestly I'm not depressed :)
Yes I do whine a lot but if you had to take PDP you would whine a lot as well.

Every Step Of The Way

Life is a crazy ride out there. You really never know what is going to happen...It always keeps you guessing.
Seriously, this year has been ridiculous with surprises, and I don't mean people jumping out of dark rooms yelling "SURPRISE!" with confetti and streamers exploding all over the place.
It's been altogether overwhelming, to the point where I feel like I could lie down and sleep for days.
Not all the surprises have been difficult, though there have been quite a few of those this year...I would be lying if I said those didn't exist.
I don't really know how I got through the hard times.
I'm sure Lee can testify...lots of late night phone calls. Plus multiple sweet teas from McDonalds and  caffeine loaded frappuccinos from Starbucks to help on the occasionally rough patches.
I just know that God takes everything ugly, disgusting and rotten and turns it into something beautiful.

Sometimes we have to go through hard times because it teaches us a lesson.
Sometimes we don't deserve what comes our way, but they help us become stronger.
And sometimes we do deserve them. We do the stupidest, dumbest thing possible and now we have to clean up the mess we made.
We're selfish.
That's all it really is. All we think about our ourselves.

But no matter what, through trial or discipline, God is with us every step of the way. You just always have to hold onto that.

Just Serious

Sometimes people in life are going to let you down.
Your best friends can disappoint you more then you ever thought possible.
People you love are going to hurt you.
People you looked up to are going to do the stupidest things ever and completely alter their lives.
Sometimes you're going to go to go through hard times.
People you cared about are going to pass away and there isn't anything you can do about it.

But then there are people who lift you up.
Who make you laugh.
Who make you so thankful that you're alive and be apart of their lives.
There are the long talks.
The girl nights.
The date nights.
The nights in with the family.
The nights out with someone you really care about.
And there are the times you realize the friends who are gone you're going to see again.
And that you have people in your life who are going to stick by you no matter what.
People you'll always love and who will always love you.

Those are the people and times you need to remember.
There's bad right along with the good in life. But just make sure you hold onto the good rather then dwell on the bad.

Another one of my random rants.

I honestly really don't like schoolwork.
Im so over studying and writing papers about topics I really could care less about. I can't wait till next semester where I'll be taking classes I actually like and enjoy.
I'm so over french and all of its annoyances. I'm over taking tests and doing group projects.

Sometimes I just want to give up (on school) and become a nun.
It would be kind of fun in a whole Sound of Music kind of way. Maybe something exciting would happen to me.
But then again maybe not.
It would probably be ten times worse then french class...And french class is like my own personal Hades.
So being a nun would be like living in the inner circle of hell.
I guess I should rephrase my earlier statement....Sometimes I just want to give up and run away to Hollywood and become an actress. There you go :) That sounds much more pleasant then having to dress in all black and never being allowed to date anyone (I don't think Lee would like that...and I would hate it).

But back to reality.
Im stuck with french and tests and papers so I might as well suck it up and get on with my life. :)
